I had aimed to release this episode on January 6, but regrettably, my J6 celebration got a lil out of hand. . .

For this brief solo transmission, I give some reflections on 2025, share some plans for 2026, and opine a bit on what exactly the point of dog and pony show even is.
Though I missed it with this one, I will be aiming to release new SPECTACLE OF DISSENT episodes on the first and third Tuesdays of each month in 2026. I have a great slate of potential guests lined up, and I hope you’ll look forward to tuning in to these conversations as much as I am looking forward to having them.
I’ll be frank, this might not be sustainable for me. I have a lot on my plate. Important things that—though I love each and every one of you that would take time out of your day to tune in to listen or read dog and pony show, and I consider the relationships that I have been blessed with through this work to be invaluable—far outstrip any of my work here on this project.
Nevertheless, 2x episodes a month is my goal for 2026, and I will try my best to make it happen. This might mean shorter episodes. It may even mean more solo episodes of various kinds. We’ll see.
